Crocus flowers are always first to the spring party, and in some cases will bloom in January. These gorgeous flowers will push through the snow and put on a show that reminds you that spring is just around the corner. Crocus flowers like to be in full sun to partial shade
Crocus bulbs do best in well-draining soil. Spread 2″ of peat moss and blend with existing soil to help with drainage.
Crocus bulbs like to be fertilized as you are planting. Add fertilizer 2″ below the bulb in order to promote rooting.

Crocus flowers like to be the first to the party, so you will see them often times blooming between January and March.
Planting crocus bulbs between 2 – 3 inches in depth is perfect for them.
Make sure to plant crocus bulbs between 3 – 4 inches apart, depending on the size of the bulb.
TULIPS – Tulips are one of the more popular bulbs. They range from a miniature size to 30″ late bloomers. If you are looking to add color all spring long it’s best to get a variety of tulip bulbs that bloom at different times.
ALLIUM – Allium bulbs can produce large blooms the size of a softball. These blooms are very fragrant and add a wonderful texture to any garden. They work the best planted in groups of three or more.
BEARDED IRIS – The bearded iris is aptly named for the Greek goddess of the rainbow, because the iris come in every color in the rainbow and then some. This beautiful flower also comes in many subcategories like tall bearded, intermediate bearded, short bearded, miniature bearded and border bearded. All of which are distinguished by their stature.
