Tulips are one of the more popular bulbs. They range from a miniature size to 30″ late bloomers. If you are looking to add color all spring long it’s best to get a variety of tulip bulbs that bloom at different times. Stop in after Labor Day every year to check out the selection of tulip bulbs we have in stock here at City Floral Garden Center.
Tulip flowers prefer an area that has full sun, but can tolerate some partial shade.
Tulip flowers grow best in a well-draining soil. Spread 2″ of peat moss and blend with top soil to help with drainage.
Tulip bulbs like to be fertilized as you are planting. Add fertilizer 2″ below the bulb in order to promote rooting.

Tulip flowers have many different bloom times depending on the variety and the weather.
Plant tulip bulbs about 6 – 8 inches in the soil.
Tulip bulbs need to be spaced out about 4 – 6 inches a part.
